Dr. Kim earned his medical degree with top honors in 1994 in Nashville, Tennessee, followed by a rigorous five-year general surgery residency at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, California. After board certification in general surgery, he completed specialized training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Indiana University Medical Center in 2002, earning board certification in his specialty shortly thereafter.

Dr. Kim also completed a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Southern California’s renowned orthopedic department. This advanced training enables him to treat complex hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions.
